Introduction
During the last few months, I added around 3000 pages to this website. You probably have's seen these pages because Google has not finished indexing them yet.
This is part of a push to expand my SEO efforts and to make it easier for people to find the Zillow Data Exporter website.
It is a bit too early to say if these pages will have any impact on the website's SEO, but I am confident that they will.
In any case, I decided to write this blog post to give you some details about them because they could come in handy, should you want to calculate for example the average price per square foot for a given city.
Uses cases
NOTE: This section has now been removed from the website.
The use cases section was introduced in October 2022 and took a lot of time to get right. In this section I used various data sources to find out more about:
- the most liveable cities in the US
- the fastest growing cities in the US
- the most populated cities in the US
The cities were divided by category and through the pages, I helped you find insights about them.
Unfortunately, I had to remove this section from the website because it was not adding any value to the website.
Sample data
The sample data section was introduced a few weeks ago.
The goal is for someone to be able to download a sample of the data that is exported by the Zillow Data Exporter extension.
This is done so that current or future users can see the columns that are exported and the data that is exported.
It can be reassuring to see the data that is exported before you install the extension.
Those sample data files are available in the following formats:
You can download each file separately:
- Sample for sale listings to CSV
- Sample for sale listings to Excel
- Sample for rent listings to CSV
- Sample for rent listings to Excel
- Sample sold listings to CSV
- Sample sold listings to Excel
I hope these files can show you what the Zillow Data Exporter extension can do.
Export Guides
The export guides section was introduced a few days ago.
I created this section because I know how intimidating it can be to use a new tool for the first time. Even though the Zillow Data Exporter extension is very easy to use, I wanted to make sure that people can find the information they need to get started.
Each guide contains detailed steps on how to export data from Zillow.
The goal is that you should be able to follow along the guide and be able to export data from Zillow in less than 5 minutes.
The guides are available in the following formats:
All the guides are available on the Export Guides page.
You can also browse each guide separately:
- Export for sale listings to CSV
- Export for sale listings to Excel
- Export for rent listings to CSV
- Export for rent listings to Excel
- Export sold listings to CSV
- Export sold listings to Excel
I hope these guides can help you get started with the Zillow Data Exporter extension.
